Mahalo! What a great article! Our Lord said, "Draw near to me and I will draw near to you." Our God is looking for Kingdom People who will serve Him with all of our hearts. The simple context of this article tells us who the Kingdom people are; why we should choose to become Kingdom people; what we must do to arrive there; and how this change in us will come about. God also said, "Choose you this day who you will serve." I encourage all of you to read this article. Let the Holy Spirit guide your heart. I pray that you will make this change today!

When we make the choice to accept Jesus Christ as our Lord & Savior, we join all the other saints & become a member of God's family in the Kingdom of God. Our lives should start changing for we are now children of our God in heaven & He becomes our spiritual Father & Ultimate Authority in all matters concerning our lives. Yes, we will still be under worldly & spiritual authority as human beings while we live on the earth. If our conversion is authentic & we start the process of sanctification with our new Spiritual Shepherd, the Holy Spirit living in us & willingly choose to have a intimate relationship with Him, He will instruct us as to what & who we are to follow as authority on earth.
Hypocrisy is becoming more evident in the family of God. "So, because you are lukewarm-neither hot nor cold-I am about to spit you out of my mouth." Rev. 3:16 Christians are becoming increasingly worldly & compromise, unrighteousness, rationalization, back-sliding, unbelief, unholiness, carnality, immorality are being practiced and even approved in many so-called Christian Churches. Our relationships with each other as born-again believers are constantly being tested & because of a more open-minded attitude towards God's Word, the Holy Bible, close friendships based on biblical values are rare. Too many followers of Jesus are becoming cowards and lack the spiritual courage to stand-up for righteousness. We will never be perfect, but we all need to die to self daily & live for Christ Jesus.

"Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit." says the LORD Almighty. Zech 4:6 Samson's physical strength came from his long uncut hair & when Delilah enticed him to reveal this secret and she had all of his hair shaved off, he lost his physical strength. But more important the LORD'S Spirit left Samson. God gave Samson great physical strength, but he was lacking in character, wisdom, self-control, etc. & his priority was not pleasing God but pleasing his fleshly desires. He also sounded like a spoiled brat, when he demanded his parents to get a woman from the Philistines, who were their enemy. In spite of Samson's weaknesses our LORD used him greatly. Our Creator will be able to use anyone for His will & purposes. Hallelujah!!!

Our time, talent, and treasure are gifts from God to use and bless our fellow brothers and sisters within the Body of Christ and to influence those who have yet to accept and receive Jesus Christ as their personal Lord & Savior. As fruit on a tree is meant for others to enjoy, not for the benefit of the tree, so our gifts, skills, and abilities are not for our selfish purposes, but to be a blessing to those around us: family, friends, neighbors, acquaintances, and yes, even to influence our adversaries. God expects us to use our talents for His Kingdom, not for selfish purposes. We are His stewards of all the gifts we possess. May we honor Him with ours.

Avery encouraging massage and it is wonderful! The heart makes things to be done well or bad, it will depend what your heart desire that is what comes out. Pastor Wayne thank you for this massage.
God has made us to be fishers of men, now we are peters and the heart. that means your mentor can know your heart when you have done something good or bad.
The church can not grow without gifts. Also there is nothing grow without the heart. Even if you see a small tree growing the heart comes first, if the heart comes weak the tree also comes weak, the branches can not help the tree to grow minus the heart. If the coaches heart becomes weak the team will be very weak.

It seems that once we have some of the things that we prayed for that we need to be reminded about those early days when we started with nothing but a heart to love God and love people. The greatest tool of the gospel is still a heart that cares!

In a 2nd level INSTE group I was leading last night they were studying Homiletics, and the discussion went to the importance of how a speaking event is approached by the speaker can affect the effect on the people receiving. I told them that if I find that I am not excited and "pregnant" with something to deliver that I know can change their lives, then I am concerned. If I am not excited about it, they probably won't be either. I know of no other factor more important to my own attitude and ability to minister in any capacity effectively than this matter of my heart. It needs to be pure, soft, receptive, and beating passionately with God's pacemaker.
I appreciate the article and passed it on as an exhortation from Wayne (and the Lord) to my general leadership team. Thank you.
